No. All analysis happens locally in your browser; your text never leaves your device.

How is reading time calculated?

Reading time assumes about 200 words per minute and speaking time about 130 words per minute — typical averages for adults.

How do you count sentences?

Sentences are detected by terminal punctuation (. ! ? …). Abbreviations can occasionally be miscounted, so treat the sentence count as a close estimate.

Can I count how many times a word appears?

Yes. Type it in the “Find a word or phrase” box to see the total count and every match highlighted, with optional case-sensitive and whole-word matching.
